Owatonna High School senior Briana Hartmann went 1-1 at the state tennis tournament. Huskies senior Seth Huseby qualified for state cross country. Some local volleyball too.

GIRLS TENNIS, STATE TOURNAMENT

OHS senior Briana Hartmann won her first match on Thursday before losing to the #2 seeded player in the AA singles tournament. It was Hartmann's third straight year to play at the state tournament.

CROSS COUNTRY, SECTION 1AA MEET

OHS senior Seth Huseby qualified for the state cross country meet with his 7th place finish in Thursday's race at Brooktree Golf Course in Owatonna. The state meet is Saturday November 1st at St. Olaf College in Northfield. In the team standings, the Owatonna boys finished 9th. The OHS girls were 10th.

VOLLEYBALL, SUBSECTIONS

Blooming Prairie defeated Lyle 3-1 and will play in the 1A West Subsection semifinals at 10:30 Saturday morning at the Mayo Civic. Medford beat Southland and will square off with #1 ranked Faribault Bethlehem Academy at 10:00am Saturday at Mayo Civic Center.

Kasson Mantorville swept Triton 3-0 in 1AA West. Tri City United eliminated NRHEG 3-0 in 2AA South.
