Jenna Bogen, OHS soph, hockey. Game winning goals at Mayo & Austin.
Kaci Gwilt, BP soph, basketball. Great defense, and scoring more too.

 

January 17:

Brodie Thiede, OHS sr, swimming. One of the team’s top sprinters.
Kevin Kalis, NRHEG sr, basketball. 24 points in nice win at USC.

 

 

January 10:

Tatelyn Blazek, OHS sr, gymnastics. Won All-Around, and all 4 events, at meet.
Dillon Kubiatowicz / Todd Erickson, NRHEG sr, wrestling. Top ten ranked.

 

January 3:

Dexter Leer, OHS senior basketball, Federated Tournament Most Valuable Player
Maddie Wagner, NRHEG so basketball, led team in scoring twice at St. Olaf Tournament

December 27:

Peyton Robb, OHS fr wrestler, won title at 106 at tough Christmas Tournament
Spencer Tollefson, NRHEG sr basketball, scored 20 vs St. Clair Friday night

December 20:

Kacy Borwege, OHS senior goalie, got the shutout at Northfield 1-0
Madison Worke, Blooming Prairie senior, basketball, had a career high 22 vs USC

December 13:

Griffin Thorn, OHS sophomore wrestler, two wins by pin in home opening triangular
John Rumpza, Blooming senior basketball, had a 26 point-22 rebound game

December 6:

Sydney Schultz, OHS fr basketball, leads the team in scoring
Trase Wencl, OHS jr hockey, had game winning OT goal vs Rochester JM

November 29:

Jessica & Jenna VonRuden, OHS hockey, combining on big goals this week
Taylor Hagen, Blooming Prairie sr basketball, 21 point-12 rebound game

November 22:

Dexter Leer, OHS senior, soccer, was a finalist for Mr. Soccer Award
Margo Achterkirch, OHS fr, hockey, 5 point game

Layne Frank, OHS goalkeeper, sr, made big saves vs Lakeville South & Northfield, and kicked the game winning penalty shot in shootout vs Lakeville South.

Jax Bryngelson, Triton jr QB, had five touchdown runs in victory at Lewiston-Altura

October 4:

Noah Amundson, OHS boys soccer

September 27:

Alex Emanuelson, OHS quarterback, jr, 15-for-19 for 127 and two touchdowns in win at Austin.

Callie Nagel, Medford libero, sophomore, doing an excellent job in her defensive role for the Tigers.

September 20:

Kaylea Ahrens, OHS volleyball, sr, reached 2,000 career digs on Thursday vs Mankato West.

Scott Romeo, Blooming Prairie senior linebacker, had several tackles for a loss at St. Clair. “He was in the backfield all night long,” said coach Chad Gimbel

September 13:

Seth Huseby, OHS cross country, sr, has been Owatonna’s #1 runner through the first part of the season.

Alexis Melder, Triton volleyball, so, had 12 kills vs Byron on Thursday and had a strong week on the attack.

September 6:

Dexter Leer, OHS soccer, sr midfielder, averaging nearly 3 points per match. Scored winner late vs Mankato East, scored twice vs Mayo. “Don’t know if there’s a better player in the state,” -coach Bob Waypa

Cole Sunde, Blooming Prairie, sr wide receiver, caught 9 passes for 215 yards and three touchdowns at Waterville Elysian Morristown on Friday.

August 30:

Julius Franklin, OHS football, sr, 217 yards, 2 TDs at Winona Thursday

Spencer Tollefson, NRHEG football, sr, 5 receptions, 193 yards, 3 TDs

 

August 23:
Allison Falken, OHS volleyball, sr, led team in kills in season opening win over Prior Lake
Briana Hartmann, OHS tennis, sr, went 6-2 in opening week of the season (4-0, Big 9)
