The Owatonna girls basketball team advanced to Friday's Sec. 1AAAA title game in Rochester after coming back from 10 down with just over 8 minutes to go in the second half to beat the John Marshall Rockets 73-67 on Saturday night at OHS.  Down 4 with 1:20 to go, the Huskies scored the last 8 points of a wild back-and-forth game that featured a 32-point explosion by JM's Jamie Ruden.  In the end, Owatonna's Katlin Ptacek came up with big steals, layups, and free throws down the stretch to will her team to victory. Ptacek finished with 18 points; Sophomore Rachel Williamson led OHS with 22 points.

The Huskies will face the top-seeded Lakeville North Panthers on Friday night at Mayo Civic Center's Taylor Arena at 6 PM in Rochester.  Click below for highlights from Saturday's win and postgame reaction from head coach Tricia Hoffman...
