Zanobia Dusek, 93, of San Carlos, California, died Thursday April 11, 2024.

Zanobia was born August 21, 1930, in Hope, Minnesota to Joseph and Alice (Skalicky) Miller.  She graduated from Owatonna High School with the class of 1948.  After high school, she worked at Federated Insurance and in 1951 married Robert (Bob) Dusek at Litomysl Church, rural Owatonna, MN. They were married for 68 years and had 3 children. During those years Bob worked for Jostens and was transferred to Tennessee, California, and back to Minnesota where Bob and Zanobia raised their children. In 1994, Bob and Zanobia moved to Tucson, Arizona and lived on a golf course with beautiful views of the Catalina Mountains. They enjoyed retirement with lots of travel and golf. In 2017 they moved back to California to be near family.

Zanobia was an avid golfer. She joined the ranks of accomplished golfers with a hole in one award.  She loved to play bridge, spend time with friends, and travel the world with Bob.

Zanobia is survived by her daughters; Sheila (and Tom) Snyder of San Carlos, CA, Jeanie (and Kent) Klueter of Mission Viejo, CA, and son Charles (and Kim) Dusek of Lakeville, MN; grandchildren, Gianna (and Jeff) Miller, Talia Fusaro, Dane Dusek, Cullen Dusek, Quentin Klueter, Sophia Klueter, and two great-granddaughters, Cara and Fiora Miller.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, parents; brothers: Ernest Miller, Raphael Miller, William Miller, Joseph Miller, and sister, Gladys Terpstra.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024, at the Brick-Meger Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Bohemian National Cemetery in Owatonna. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Heart Association in her memory.
