Alexandria, MN (KROC AM News) - The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a fatal head-on traffic crash that happened Thursday in west-central Minnesota.

The State Patrol says a car and a pickup truck collided head-on while driving on Highway 55 in rural Douglas County.

Both vehicles were driven by teenagers.

A 16-year-old female from Kensington was driving the car. The truck was driven by a 19-year-old male from Brooten.

The State Patrol report doesn’t indicate which of the drivers was killed. Their names are expected to be released at noon Friday.

The wreck was reported around 9:45 pm west of Alexandria.
