Two Hurt After Vehicle Hits Bear In Northern Minnesota

Brainerd, MN (KROC AM News) - Two northern Minnesotans were taken to the hospital Friday after the vehicle they were in collided with a bear.
The Minnesota State Patrol says the SUV was on a rural road near Brainerd around 8:30 Friday night when it hit the bear.
The State Patrol says the vehicle “went off the road from the collision striking a tree and then overturned.”
The driver was identified as 19-year-old Tyler Peterson of Brainerd. His passenger was identified as 20-year-old Cynthia Thompson, also of Brainerd.
The State Patrol says the two suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The State Patrol report did not say what happened to the bear.
