Tips for A Safe Halloween For The Little Ghouls
Like just about everything else, Halloween will be a bit different this year. I really do feel bad for the kids this year. You're only young once, as they say, and Halloween is one of those days I remember always looking forward to every year.

As a parent, you want your kids to be safe, so the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has come up with some simple guidelines to help make this Halloween a little bit safer for the young ghouls.
- First of all, wear a mask. Better yet, try incorporate the mask into the costume. This could be pretty easy to do.
- Remember, a costume mask is not a substitute for a cloth mask.
- Don't wear a costume mask over the cloth mask, as that may make it difficult to breath.
- Children under 2 years of age or people that have trouble breathing should NOT wear a mask

- Maintain a safe distance of at least 6 feet from other trick or treaters that do not live with you.
- Remember, whether you are indoors or outdoors, you are more likely to contract or even spread COVID-19 when you are in close contact with other people for extended periods of time.
- Be sure to wash your hands. Have hand sanitizer handy for use after touching things or other people.
- Make sure your hand sanitizer is at least 60% alcohol.
- Parents, supervise young kids using sanitizer
- Finally, wash hands thoroughly for at least 20 seconds when you get home and before you start eating your treats.
Have a fun and safe Halloween. Weather looks like it will be okay for the big night.
