This App will Allow You to Track, Share Your Immunizations
Where did I put that vaccination card? Worry about that no more.
The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) announces an app that will provide a secure connection to your immunization record and a way to share the details when necessary. Docket is available at no charge from Android and Apple app stores.
In a news release, MDH Infectious Disease Division Director Kris Ehresmann states, "We recognize the importance of having a secure and convenient way to find, view, and share your and your family's immunization records, such as needing records for school or child care. The Docket app gives Minnesotans a digital option to access their immunization history in MIIC (Minnesota Immunization Information Connection), check what vaccines you or your children may be due for, and see what vaccines you may need in the future."
The MIIC "combines all immunizations a person has received into a single record," according to the news release, "even if they were given by different health care providers in Minnesota."
OBESITY RATE UP IN MINNESOTA
The health department also reports a slight increase in the state's obesity rate for 2020. "Data release today by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) shows Minnesota's adult obesity rate in 2020 was 30.7%, up from 30.1% in 2019," states a news release.
The release cautions, "Minnesotans who are obese are at increased risk for severe illness from COVID-19 and other serious health conditions including heart diesae, stroke, Type 2 diabetes and some cancers. Obesity is also associated with poor physical and mental well-being"
