With so many events canceled, it's nice when an activity that lends itself well to social distancing can still be held. The Owatonna Arts Center announces the annual Secret Garden Tour on Sunday, July 19 from 10 am to 4 pm. In an email, director Silvan Durben wrote, "We know the world has changed with COVID-19 and yet there are some gifts that remain the same - the beauty of nature, colorful fragrant blossoms and the tasty sensation of vegetables. Five gardeners are inviting us into their natural surroundings within the city limits."

Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 on the day of the event. Tickets are available at Kottke Jewelers in downtown Owatonna or at the arts center at West Hills. On Sunday, July 19 go to the arts center beginning at 10 am for the map of garden locations.

On their website, the Owatonna Arts Center indicates they are open for groups of 10 or less by appointment. Call 507-451-033 for more information and to schedule a visit. They are also requiring people to wear a mask while in the center. Anyone not wearing one will be asked to leave.
