Since their creation in 1984, the crime fighting turtles have become synonymous with pop culture. Did you know that the Guinness World Record for most Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles happened here in Minnesota?

On March 17th, 2012, 836 TMNT fans gathered at the Mall of America to shatter the previous record of 786 people held at Rutgers University in New Jersey. It was at this time, Nickelodeon who owned the rights to the 'Heroes in a Half-Shell', were opening their brand new ride at Nickelodeon Universe, 'Shell Shocked'.

Fans of all ages gathered at MOA in hand crafted costumes, mask, and T-shirts to show their "Ninja Power'! Who's your favorite Turtle? I've always like Raphael because of his tough guy persona!
