Village of Yesteryear

With all 19 structures open at the village and two exhibits to explore at the history center, the Steele County Historical Society invites fairgoers to the east side of the fairgrounds.

Volunteers are needed for a cleanup day at the Village of Yesteryear on Saturday, April 29. Hours will be 9AM to noon. The tour season begins May 1. Cleanup tasks consist of sweeping and mopping floors, emptying trash, dusting furniture, counters and artifacts...

You can't change history but you can put more of it on display. That's what the Steele County Historical Society will do at the Village of Yesteryear during the fair.

The Steele County Historical Society will present its monthly children's programming on June 4 at 9AM and 6:30PM. All area children are invited.
