Support Minnesota Youth In Agriculture With FFA and 4-H License Plates!
I am sure you have noticed Critical Habitat license plates on cars in Minnesota? You can pay an extra fee above the cost of a typical license plate for your car and the funds go to supporting the environment. Beginning as early as 2022 you will be able to purchase a license plate in Minnesota supporting the Minnesota FFA and 4-H program! That was the announcement during a special program at Farmfest last week.
I do remember in previous Minnesota Legislative sessions there was some discussion about Minnesota FFA and 4-H license plates but no action was taken. Then at Farmfest I found out a bill was passed by the House, Senate and signed into law by Governor Walz. Exactly what the license plates will look like is yet to be determined.
Jennifer Skuza State 4-H Director with the University of Minnesota Extension said they are asking 4-H and FFA members to submit ideas for the design of the new Minnesota License plates. I am sure there are all kinds of regulations about what can be put on license plates, the color and others but it will be exciting to see what they will look like.
