Stewartville Man Arrested On Drug Charges

Stewartville, MN (KROC AM News) - A routine traffic stop near Stewartville led to the discovery of some pot and a gun.

An Olmsted County deputy pulled a vehicle over on Highway 63 near I-90 Friday afternoon. When the deputy detected the odor of marijuana in the vehicle, he searched and found about half a pound of pot. The deputy also found a loaded handgun and nearly $4,000 in cash.

The driver of the car was arrested.

He was identified as 28-year-old Vidal Aknis of Stewartville
