Steele Waseca Cooperative Electric reports service territory outages from Thursday's storms as well. They're reporting extensive damage in the Faribault and Northfield areas to transmission structures which is accounting for most of the outages. There are also quite a number of individual outages due to the storms

Great River Energy is working to rebuild as many as 20 transmission structures and helped has been brought in from neighboring cooperatives and contractors in the effort to repair the damage.

As far as numbers Steele Waseca reports around 7,365 of their 11,478 meter locations without power as of last evening. By early this Friday morning they reported that all but around 2,100 meter locations were restored.
