It's coming up this weekend. What IT is, is the Drive-Thru Food Fest that is happening at the Steele County Fairgrounds Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Get your fair food fix without even leaving your car.

According to a press release from the Steele County Fair Board, they are inviting everyone to their first-ever drive-thru Food Fest on the fairgrounds. There you will find food vendors that would have been at the fairgrounds during the fair. The drive-thru will take place on the fairgrounds Friday, August 21st – Sunday, August 23rd to offer you some of those delicious food items that you enjoy every year during the fair.

The press release stated that this will only be a drive-thru event. This means that you have to stay in your car. How it works is that a person, from the food stand, will come to your car to take your order.

Unlike the State Fair drive-thru event, this drive-thru doesn't have any limits on how many individuals you have in your vehicle. The release states that you can "put as many people as you want into a car."

While you are in the fairgrounds no one will be allowed to walk-up or to walk-in to the event, and no one is to leave their vehicle while attending the drive-thru event.

The map below shows the vendors' locations along the trail. The map of the trail will be given to you as you enter the fairgrounds with vendor sites identified plus the vendor menu. The trail starts at the south end of the fairgrounds on the corner of Hartle Avenue and 18th Street.
