Speeders Caught Going Over 100 MPH Has Tripled
With less and less people on the road, some people are putting the petal to the metal. Unfortunately for them, they are getting caught for it as well.
The amount of NASCAR wannabes has tripled since the start of the stay at home order. According to the Minnesota Office of Traffic Safety, 78 citations have been issued for speeds over 100 mph between March 27th and April 13th. Compared to the same time last year, only 22 were issued.
State Patrol will also increase this weekend as the fishing season officially opens today. So don't be surprised if you see more and more state troopers on the road near popular fishing areas.
