Seven People Escape Rochester House Fire

Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Seven people had to flee their northwest Rochester home Thursday after a fire broke out.
The Rochester Fire Dept says a 911 call was received just before 3 pm about the fire at 3540 19th Avenue NW.
RFD says the fire started in a second-floor bedroom and flames spread to the kitchen. RFD says the seven people who had been inside were assessed for smoke inhalation and released by Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service.
The cause of the fire is unknown remains under investigation.
The fire was contained to the bedroom and adjacent kitchen and there was heavy smoke and fire damage to both areas.
The estimated loss was put at $50,000.
