Semi Crashes Through Wisconsin Home’s Front Door In Early Morning
It's amazing no one was seriously injured after a semi-trailer crashed into a Wisconsin home. The incident happened early in the morning of Friday, February 4 in Belleville, Wisconsin.
The Belleville Wisconsin Volunteer Fire Department first warned people on their Facebook page that Mainstreet had been blocked off because of a traffic crash. They also mentioned that a gas leak was created, but was quickly contained.
A couple of hours later the fire department shared photos of what that traffic accident actually was. A semi tractor-trailer had crashed into the front entranceway of the home.
Two people were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, which in itself is absolutely amazing. Fuel leaked from the tractor-trailer into the home which the fire department worked to contain. There also was an adjacent utility trailer to the home that also had fuel leaking that needed to be cleaned up. The natural gas meter was also damaged so gas was also turned off.
A local towing company assisted the fire department in removing the tractor and trailer.
Eventually, they needed to use heavy equipment to lift and drag the truck out of the home.
There's no word on what led to the crash. Belleville Wisconsin is located in Dane & Green County Wisconsin, south of Madison. The Madison Fire Department assisted the Belleville Volunteer Fire Department.
Belleville is a small town with a population of 2,556. The village is on the county line of Dane & Green County. 547 of the city's population lives in Green County, while the rest live in Dane County.
