While the Twins were wrapping up Spring Training earlier this year, their newly-signed shortstop Carlos Correa was celebrating by buying a $7.5 million home on Lake Minnetonka.

As we know, the Minnesota Twins ended up being able to keep two-time Major League Baseball All-Star, Carlos Correa (who played for the team in 2022) this season (and for the next several, it would appear) after signing him to a 6-year, $105 million contract right before Spring Training started this year.

It was right after signing that big deal that Carlos plunked down about $7.5 million of that contract on some new digs on Lake Minnetonka. BringMeTheNews reports that the Twins shortstop closed on this amazing home in Orono back on March 1st. And, yeah, it's a pretty nice place!

According to Matt Johnson with Compass via Realtor.com, the home is located at 980 Heritage Lane in Orono. It's a 9,475 square-foot, 5-bed, 2.5-bath home that features over 200 feet of shoreline on swanky Lake Minnetonka. Check out how the property is described:

2020-built estate on 2.19 acres is situated on Lake Minnetonka's most exclusive bay with 225 feet of east-facing lakeshore.  The transitional style embraces natural light and views with warm yet modern design accents. A perfect blend of indoor and outdoor living amenities geared towards a year-round experience. Security gate, 6-car garage, full smart home technology, permanent dock, and more!

While that's a LOT of money to you and me, I guess when you're worth over $105 million, spending $7.5 million on a new house is kind of a drop in the bucket, right? Keep scrolling to check out the pics of the new Correa compound.

And then keep scrolling to check out the Eagan home of former Viking Za'Darius Smith plus an equally-swanky home on Lake Minnetonka that Gophers football coach PJ Fleck sold last fall, too. (Must be nice!)
