SE Minnesota Town Plans Special Weekend For Pearl Harbor Sailor

Kellogg, MN ( KROC AM News) - This will be a special Labor Day weekend for residents of Kellogg.
The small Mississippi River town in southeast Minnesota is holding a number of events in honor of a hometown sailor who was killed in the Pearl Harbor attack in 1941.
Lloyd Timm was 19 years old when he was killed while stationed on the Oklahoma battleship.
Timm’s brother Warren had also been stationed on the ship but was transferred to a stateside base before the attack.
Timm’s remains were officially identified in 2019 and are scheduled to arrive in hometown Kellogg today.
He will be laid to rest Monday with full military honors.
