Rochester's own Marcus Sherels stint with the Miami Dolphins is over. The team waived the defensive back Saturday before the team's battle with the New York Giants Sunday.

Sherels has been in the NFL for 10 seasons, and according to Pro Football Talk, Sherels appeared in five games for Miami, returning six punts for an average of 3.8 yards per return and three kickoff returns for 19.0 yards average.

Sherels has bounced around the NFL during the 2019 season. He started with New Orleans but was let go before the season started, and then returned to Minnesota for a short stint before he was let go once again. He landed in Miami quickly but since has been released again.

The 32-year-old started his NFL career as an undrafted free agent with the Vikings and has appeared in 128 games in his career.
