Richard Allison Fisher, 79, Owatonna

Richard Allison Fisher, 79, of Owatonna, died Friday, June 21, 2024 at Owatonna Hospital.

He was born March 9, 1945 in Worthington the son of Calvin and Wilma "Kay" (Barclay) Fisher. Richard graduated from Owatonna High School with the Class of 1963.  He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.  Following his military service, Dick worked for over 40 years at Wenger Corporation and retired as a traffic and installations manager.

He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Duck’s Unlimited and the Elk's.  Richard was very involved in the Native American community over the last 20 years.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and his annual fishing trip to Canada.

He is survived by sons, Kevin Fisher of Owatonna, Scott (and Stacy) Palesotti of Hector; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother, Gene (and Judy) Fisher of Owatonna and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Michaelson Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery in Owatonna.
