The State Fair apparently had a great idea, creating a parade route so we could all experience the delicious delights of our Minnesota State Fair foods. One of my other favorite summertime events is the RenFest. I usually go at least once a year, and enjoy a full day of food, costumes, elephant rides and more.

The Renaissance Festival has decided that it too, can offer a parade.

The Minnesota Renaissance Festival on Parade will be taking place on weekends from September 19th through October 4th, with a bonus day on Friday October 2nd, my birthday!

FOODS TO EXPERIENCE

There are always a wide variety of tasty foods to choose from at the RenFest.  Some of the foods on the parade will include:

  • Apple Dumplings with ice cream
  • Beef Sticks
  • Fried Pickle Spears
  • Soups
  • Turkey Legs
  • Unicorn Cake

The route will take guests on a 2.5 mile route through the festival grounds in Shakopee.

The cost is going to be $20 per vehicle, with each one receiving a free goodie bag. All visitors will be able to have fun with activities and games along the route. There will be trivia, Festival Find it, and a carriage costume contest.

There will also be RenFest talent appearances from Puke- of the Puke and Snot duo, which is a comedy act at the Renfest since the 1970s...They will try your patience and try to induce laughter throughout the carload parade.

Tickets are on sale right now, so now is the time to get the tickets as a limited amount will be sold.
