The Randolph Rockets came into Bruce Smith Field in Faribault tonight with one of the top passing attacks in the state regardless of class.  It proved to be the difference in a Rockets 34-26 victory.

Bethlehem Academy started the scoring with 1:22 to go in the first quarter on a Josh Oathoudt 9 yard touchdown.  The point after kick attempt was blocked.  Randolph tied the game with 11:06 to go in the half on a 37 yard touchdown pass from Nick Drinken to Dan Ehleringer.  A two point converstion attempt was unsuccesful.

The Rockets scored with 5:15 to go in the half on a Drinken to Isaac Stoesz connection of 29 yards.  The 2 point conversion pass was successful with the same combination.  The score at the half Randolph 14, Bethlehem Academy 6.

Bethlehem Academy struck first in the second half.  With 7:33 to go in the third quarter Oathoudt had a 32 yard touchdown run.  A two point pass attempt was no good making the score 14-12.

Randolph answered with 6:15 to go in the third on another Drinken to Ehleringer pass that covered 32 yards.  Drinken ran in the two point converstion making the score 22-12.

With 34 seconds to go in the third quarter Drinken had a 2 yard touchdown run.  The two point conversion attempt was no good making the score 28-12.

The Cardinals responded with 10:44 to go in the game scoring on a Jack Jandro run of a yard.  Two point pass from Jandro to Lucas Linneman was good making the score 28-20.

Drinken connected with Stoesz for his fourth touchdown pass of the night from 43 yards out.  Two point pass unsuccessful.

Brady Strodtman scored an 11 yard touchdown with 2:38 to go to cut the deficit to a single touchdown and two point coversion.  The two point attempt was no good.

Randolph finished the game with 501 yards in total offense.  463 through the air.  Drinken was 24 of 38 for 463 yards and 4 touchdowns.  He had one interception.  Stoesz finished the night with 8 catches for 199 yards and two touchdowns.

Dominick Ohmann had 6 receptions for 118 yards.  Ehleringer 5 catches 80 yards and two scores.  Seven Rockets receivers had catches in the aerial attack.

Bethlehem Academy rolled up 306 total yards on offense.  90 passing, 216 yards on the ground.  Oathoudt ran 29 times for 189 yards and two touchdowns.  He also threw a pass for 18 yards.

Randolph ran the ball 21 times for 38 yards.

The Cardinals were led defensively by Brady Strodtman with 7 tackles. Aiden Tobin 6.5 and Riley Kangas with 4.5 tackles.  Jandro had an interception.

Bethlehem Academy punter Spencer Ell had 4 punts averaging 40.5 yards a kick.

The Cardinals believe they will have a home game in the first round of the playoffs but if Faribault plays at home (which is a possiblity even with 1 win) then they would host the game but have to find another field to play on Tuesday.
