May is Mental Health Awareness Month and on the last day of April mental health professional Eric Lundin from the Rice County Social Services Mental Health Unit will be on AM Minnesota 9:30 a.m. today.  Lundin has been a guest on our show many times over the years and typically he picks a topic he wants to discuss and this year he chose Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).   Most of use think of the military when we hear about PTSD, but it can happen to any one of us.

The definition of PTSD by the Mayo Clinic is, "A mental health condition triggered by a terrifying event.  Either experienced or witnessed.  Symptoms may include flashbacks, nightmares and severe anxiety."

I hope you can listen to the program, if not live, then on our website following the program.  The program is typically uploaded to the website by mid-afternoon and the best way to access it is to download the FREE KDHL Radio app.
