Possibility For Large Hail And Damaging Winds Tonight

The National Weather Service is calling for a slight risk for severe storms tonight. The area south of Interstate 94 is the area with a higher risk for severe weather tonight. That area includes Faribault, Owatonna, Preston, and Rochester.

According to this morning's weather advisory from the National Weather Service, there will be "scattered thunderstorms [are] possible this afternoon through tonight. There is a Slight Risk of severe thunderstorms south of Interstate 94. Damaging wind and large hail will be the primary hazards."

It's a good idea to stay sky aware later this afternoon into the evening hours just in case. The weather we had earlier this week occurred under an enhanced risk rather than a slight risk for severe weather.
