As a Green Bay Packers fan, I've quietly been sitting here and enjoying the team's six-game winning streak. Never mind they've done it after being riddled by injuries, especially on the defensive side of the football. But thanks to the offense, again led by quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay sits third in the overall NFC standings. But trouble is brewing as the Packers take on undefeated Arizona on Thursday night, and a COVID outbreak has hit Green Bay.

Star wide receiver Davante Adams was put on the COVID-19 reserve list on Monday after testing positive for the virus, according to ESPN. That news followed an announcement from head coach Matt LaFleur that defensive coordinator Joe Barry will also miss the Arizona game due to COVID-19 rules. The team met virtually on Monday, one day after defeating Washington at Lambeau Field. So if Barry and Adams tested positive, will any other players drop out before kickoff on Thursday night? What are the chances that Adams could make it back?

If Adams has been vaccinated and his positive test is because he is asymptomatic, he would need two negative tests, 24 hours apart to be cleared for the Arizona game. It's possible, but not likely. I'm sure we'll hear about his follow-up test results later this afternoon. ESPN reports that Arizona has been dealing with their own COVID issues, but they will be getting two players back to take on Green Bay. Pass rusher Chandler Jones and defensive lineman Zach Allen were both activated Monday from the reserve/COVID list.

And if you don't think one player like Davante Adams makes a huge difference in Thursday night's game, think again. The Cardinals went from 4.5 points to 6 point favorites after the news about Adams broke.
