A popular Preston brewpub is up for sale, and the current owners are keeping an eye out for their next adventure.

How Trout City Brewing Got Started

Andy and Anita Bisek opened up Trout City Brewing in August of 2019, and have now placed the brewpub up for sale. The two renovated the building and started Trout City Brewing with the intent of selling it once it opened, was running and well established.

"We wanted to start a business that adds another reason for people to visit our community of Preston and Southeast Minnesota," Anita said in an email. "Now it's time for us to be on the other side of the Stout!"

What's On Tap Now?

Trout City Brewing continues to be a popular hangout for many Southeast Minnesota residents and visitors with live music, a delicious menu, and of course, some great beers! The brewpub does have something for everyone, too, including hard seltzer, and hard cider, along with Busch and Michelob in bottles. They also have Schell's Sangria in cans. Of course, they also have their own beers on tap, along with a guest tap.

"Trout City beers include Easy Rider Blonde, Cranberry Rider, Citrus Rider, St. Anthony Pale Ale, Egomaniac Rye IPA, Red Sky Cranberry honey Belgian, Local Yokel IPA and Stout It Out Loud oatmeal stout," Anita said.

Trout City Brewing recently had a puzzle triathlon, that included 3 people, 2 pitchers of beer, and 1 puzzle. The first one done was the winner, and if you thought completing a puzzle was hard, imagine after a few drinks. It would definitely be a good time!

What's Next For Anita and Andy?

So what is on tap for Anity and Andy once Trout City Brewing sells? Well, the two plan to stay busy at home with projects, and they will always keep an eye out for a new adventure, with no plans to leave Preston.

"When the brewpub sells we will stay busy with projects at home, always with an eye out for a new adventure," Anita said. "No plans to leave Preston, we love it and after 27 years here, it is home!"

Trout City Brewing is listed with Bucky Beeman of Realty Growth Inc. You can find out additional details here. Trout City Brewing is still open, too! Their hours are 11 AM - 8:30 PM Thursday, and Friday. They are open from 12 - 5 on Saturday and Sunday.
