Farmington High School was Owatonna's home away from home Friday night as the OHS wrestling and boys basketball teams competed there.

A big pro-Huskies crowd helped pack the auxiliary gym for the wrestling meet. Basketball was held in the main gym with Owatonna's dog-pound student section decked out in Christmas sweaters. Many fans ducked in on portions of both events.

The Owatonna wrestling team split a pair of matches in a triangular that featured three top 10-ranked teams. The No. 7 Huskies rallied for a 34-31 win over No. 6 Hastings before losting 41-23 to No. 5 Farmington.

In the dual versus Hastings, the Huskies' only lead of the entire match came when Austin Abbas pinned his opponent at heavyweight for the 34-31 victory. Brandon Moen and Goy Tut started the three-match winning streak to earn the win. Against Farmington the Huskies led briefly at the lower-middle weights. The Tigers pulled away for the 41-23 victory by winning six of the final seven matches.

Across the hall, the OHS boys basketball team found itself down early as Farmington had a hot shooting night. The Huskies stayed within 10 most of the way but the Tigers ended strong for a 62-46 win.
