Over 550K Minnesotans Have Started COVID Vaccine Doses
St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - Minnesota's daily count of new COVID-19 cases is back below 1,000 and the daily positivity rate remains below 4-percent.
The latest statistics from the State Health Department shows 914 new COVID-19 infections were reported on Saturday, with 24 of the new cases in Olmsted County. Saturday's testing total was just over 23,200 and the daily testing positivity rate was about 3.9-percent.
Officials today reported additional 10 coronavirus-related deaths in the state. The total since the start of the pandemic is now just under 6300.
Minnesota's overall vaccination total now has 554,000 people on the list of those who have received at least one dose of the vaccine, with over 156,600 having had both shots. Just under 32,000 residents of Olmsted County have now had at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and over 16,600 have had both doses.
