Ohio State University Gets Bacon Vending Machine – We Are So Jealous
Yep, you read that title correctly, Ohio State University has a BACON vending machine. Makes me want to be a transfer student, just to get in on the bacony goodness. I go all Homer Simpson over bacon, and it can't be turkey bacon, has to be the REAL thing.
The vending machine is courtesy of the Ohio Pork Council, and you can get strips and bits of bacon for $1, but, only until December 13th. The vending machine, which is "located in the Animal Sciences building at the school’s College of Food, Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, profits from the vending machine will benefit the meat science program, according to the Ohio Pork Council. Students in the meat science program are also responsible for re-stocking the machines."
So, this is a win-win-win situation, profits go back to the school, people learn about the Ohio Pork Council, and you get bacon from a vending machine! Now, who do we need to talk to to get something like that set up here? I get the feeling that the vending machine would be running out of product, all the time, and not just taking all of my money.
