New Series Coming to HGTV is Set Right Here in Minnesota
A new series set here in Minnesota has just been added to the schedule and is coming soon to HGTV.
I don't know if you're as addicted to HGTV as my wife and I are. Thanks to Discovery+ , we're able to watch a lot of HGTV shows-- some of which were filmed right here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes. Like Nicole Curtis and her series 'Rehab Addict,' where some seasons were shot on-location in and around Minneapolis.
Then there was also the short-lived series 'Stay or Sell,' that featured fellow Minnesotans Brad and Heather Fox, whose firm, Fox Homes, is also based in Minneapolis. (BTW, they recently sold their incredible home in Edina, check out the pics below!)
And now there's a new renovation show we'll be watching intently, because it features a Minnesota firm and takes place right here in the North Star State as well. It's called 'Renovation 911' and apparently HGTV just ordered a full season of the show.
According to TV industry site, Deadline, the show features centers fellow Minnesotans Kirsten Meehan and Lindsey Uselding, co-owners of Ungerman, a construction and restoration company based in Plymouth (northwest of the Twin Cities, about an hour and a half away from Rochester) that specializes in rescuing fire, water, or storm damaged properties.
Deadline said HGTV describes the series like this:
Renovation 911 will follow emergency restoration experts and sisters, Kirsten Meehan and Lindsey Uselding, as they rescue homes in Minneapolis that have recently experienced unexpected and tragic property disasters. Kirsten and Lindsey will race to the scene to assess the damage, reassure the homeowners and develop a plan for a full restoration and renovation.
Deadline says the show is one of six new series that have officially been added to the HGTV 2022-2023 season. That means they're probably busy shooting various renovation projects right now here in the Bold North, with full episodes set to premiere sometime later this year.
