Mother of Young Rochester Drowning Victim Seeking Donations
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - An Indiana woman has posted a GoFundMe site that indicates she is the mother of the young boy who was pulled from Rochester’s Cascade Lake Saturday.
The site identifies the woman as Jasmin McBride of Lafayette, IN.
The GoFundMe page says her son Deon was spending the summer with his father and she needs help bringing her son home to “ lay him to rest the correct way.”
As of 8:00 AM Monday, donations totaled $3700.
Police say he was swimming in the beach area when he disappeared. A 911 call was made around 7:00 PM. Firefighters organized a human chain and the boy’s body was located. Efforts to revive him at the scene were unsuccessful.
