Wallet Hub just published a report on the most stressed states in the country and surprisingly Minnesota is pretty chill.  I say surprisingly because there are a lot of things in our state that are stressful everything from the weather, to the taxes, and never ending road construction.

Minnesota was actually named the least stressed state in America. Mississippi and Arkansas are the most-stressed states. In order to determine theses rankings Wallet Hub compared the 50 states "across four key dimensions: 1) Work-Related Stress, 2) Money-Related Stress, 3) Family-Related Stress, and 4) Health- & Safety-Related Stress." Minnesota scored well in each category. See some of the rankings below. (the closer to 50, the better)

  • 40th – Avg. Hours Worked per Week
  • 42nd – Share of Adults Getting Adequate Sleep
  • 50th ¬– % of Adults in Fair/Poor Health
  • 50th – Median Credit Score
  • 45th – % of Population Living Below Poverty Line
  • 48th – Divorce Rate
