St Paul (KROC AM News) - Two more Republicans have filed for the First District Congressional seat, increasing the number of GOP candidates to four.
Filing Monday were Brad Finstad and Jeremy Munson. The other two - Bob Carney and Kevin Navistky - filed last week.
So far, just one Democrat has filed for the seat that had been held by Republican Jim Hagedorn. Richard Painter filed last week.
Filings will be accepted through March 15th. A primary will be held May 24th and the special election is scheduled to take place Aug. 9.
The winner will complete Hagedorn’s term, which officially expires in January.
