MN Bakery Making Free Cakes for Graduating Seniors
It's graduation season and many high school Seniors will not be having a traditional graduation that they imagined. To make it up to them, one Red Wing bakery is making graduation cakes, for every Senior!
According to a report from CBS 4-WCCO, Hanisch Bakery in Red Wing is stepping up and offering to bake a free 7-inch graduation cake. Bakery Owner, Bill Hanisch is doing this gesture of good will to "make these kids just feel appreciated".
A lot of them are not going to get graduation parties. They aren’t going to get celebrations like most of us did, so I just figured a simple small gesture of seven-inch cake was the way to do it.
Not only is Hanisch Bakery doing this for Red Wing High School, Bill has also been contacted by many other communities, including Prescott, Goodhue, Dover-Eyota, Lake City, Cannon Falls and many more have contacted them since his original Facebook post went viral!
It’s awesome to see the people stop by and support them, local towns and the kids. To me, it’s not about dollar signs, it’s to put a smile on their faces
