Minnesotan's Could Possibly See 13 Full Moons in 2020

Growing up, my parents always had a telescope in our house. Every chance we had to drive to our property in Colorado to go look at the stars, we would take advantage of that. My parents would even let us go to school late if there was a meteor shower the night before. This Friday, you'll have the opportunity to see a meteor shower in our own back yard. If you are as obsessed with the sky as I am, you'll be excited to know that there will be 13 full moons in 2020 according to House Beautiful.

Now I understand that weather may affect the visibility of the full moon, but there are plenty of opportunities to see them from wherever you live in Minnesota. This year included in the full moons, we are going to see two supermoons and a blue moon. A supermoon is just like what it sounds. It's a large moon that is bigger than life. Where a blue moon is a moon that takes on a blue tint.

The article says that October is the only month that you will see two full moons, but there is something special that is also happening in October. On Halloween (October 31st) there will be a blue moon. This is super rare and the next time this will happen is in 2039. It's one of those stories you can tell future generations one day.
