Minnesota Timberwolves, Target Center Open New Food Stand – Among First Of It’s Kind In The Country
The Minnesota Timberwolves and the Target Center have partnered with Wicked Kitchen to open a new 100% animal-free concession stand during home games.
Wicked Kitchen is a prominent brand of convenient vegan food products that are sold around the world and with this new partnership, they'll now be able to offer fans at Target Center a new 100% animal-free food option. The new vegan menu will include such things as subs, burgers, and ice cream.
Pete Speranza, CEO of Wicked Kitchen says, "It's an honor to provide our hometown team with a Wicked experience that fans will love and crave. We know our foods will quickly be fan favorites and on par with the amazing team this year."
I gotta say, some of the options they have on the menu sound delicious and are perfect stadium food, some of the sandwiches you can expect on the menu are the Grilled Chorizo Brat, the Jalapeño Gouda Burger, and a classic, meat-free, Meatball Sub. Shouldn't it be a NoMeatball Sub?
If you'd rather just skip the meal and go right to the dessert, I can understand, some of the ice cream picks are a Berry White Stick, it's vanilla ice cream with raspberry swirl dipped in white vegan chocolate, the Chocolate & Almond Stick, which is vanilla ice cream with toasted almond dipped in milk chocolate, and finally the Chocolate & Red Berry Cone, this is chocolate ice cream, red berry sauce and chocolate chips in a gluten-free cone.
This is one of the first vegan concession stands at any sports facility across the country, "There's no better way to show mainstream America that animal-free foods are super tasty, satisfying, and comforting than by serving them up in a basketball stadium in the middle of the country," said Speranza.
If you'd like to try Wicked Kitchen products, you can find them at the Duluth Whole Foods Co-op locations.
