Now that the weather is actually feeling a little like spring, we can finally start getting excited for the Minnesota State Fair! It will be here before you know it and is already shaping up to be awesome, with great concerts in the Grandstand and so many foods on a stick.

Major country acts like Keith Urban and The Chicks will be performing at the Grandstand. Other major musical acts like The Black Keys, Brandi Carlile, Yung Gravy, Duran Duran, and many others will also be taking the stage for concerts to remember.

As we await the much-anticipated list of new food and beverage offerings at the Minnesota State Fair this year, we do have something else to get us even more excited for the annual event. State fair officials just released the list of free entertainment for 2023.

The free entertainment lineup is always awesome, with more than nine-hundred shows over the course of the fair. It is all entirely free with the price of admission. There are six different stages across the state fairgrounds to catch this free entertainment, which means there is always some type of free music you can catch while eating all the things.

Here are a few other acts to note, among a list of hundreds. There really is something for everyone!

  • The Bacon Brothers

  • Soul Asylum
  • Connie P.
  • The Foxgloves
