Minnesota Deputy Crashes Into Car While Responding To 911 Call
Fairmont, MN (KROC AM News) - A sheriff’s deputy and two people were hurt Tuesday when the officer’s squad car crashed into another vehicle while on an emergency run.
The Minnesota State Patrol says the crash happened around 2:30 pm in Fairmont.
The Martin County deputy had his emergency lights activated while going through an intersection when the crash occurred. The deputy was identified as 23-year-old Luis Figueroa of Fairmont. He was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle was identified as 50-year-old Jeffrey Lupke of Truman. He and his passenger - 72-year-old Suzanne Lupke of Truman - were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
