Details about the Memorial Day observances in Faribault will be given during AM Minnesota at 9:30 this morning.  Central Veterans Association member and one of the organizers Mark Quinlan will join us along with two of the three veterans being honored.  Parade Grand Marshal Jim Nielson and Combat Veteran Keith Paulson will be here.  His service dog Molly will be joining us also.

Honorary Grand Marshal Steve Ernste could not join us today but will be honored Monday by riding in the parade along with the other honorees.  The veterans will also be on stage in Central Park during the brief program.

The day starts with the traditional flag raising ceremony at the Rice County Veterans Memorial on the north lawn of the Rice County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m.

The Memorial Day Parade starts at 10:00 a.m.

The program in Central Park has traditionally occurred about 10 to 15 minutes after the parade.

The program usually runs between 30 and 40 minutes.
