Medford FFA’er Is A National Finalist
Congratulations to Beth Ann Hanson of the Medford FFA. She's in pretty exclusive company.Beth moved into a .0029% class by being named a National Finalist for Proficiency in Ag Processing. She gave a 2 minute talk on our ag product at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis this week. Later on Friday she'll give a 15 minute presentation which will include a question and answer session which will determine a National FFA Champion.
Beth's product is certainly unique. She makes soap, lotion and hand cream from goat's milk. She said it all started with her two goats Tippy and Brianna. Her mother's friend suggested she try making soap out of her goat's milk. Hanson said there's a chemist somewhere in the family and they helped perfect a formula. Hanson is a freshman in college studying early childhood and youth development. She's selling her goat soap, lotion and hand cream to area businesses. Her two goats produce about a gallon of milk each day.
Congratulations and good luck later Friday.
