Lottery Game Drought Continues
Undated (KROC AM News) - It’s been awhile since the two lottery games that are played in Minnesota and many other states have produced grand prize winners and the jackpots continue to grow.
It’s been more than three months since there was a grand prize winner in the Mega Millions game. Its jackpot zipped over the $300,000,000 mark after the Friday night drawing. It’s expected the game’s current $303,000,000 grand prize will grow before the Tuesday night drawing.
There were no jackpot winners in Saturday night’s Powerball game. Its grand prize currently stands at $261,000,000. The next drawing is Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the winner of the March 22 Powerball grand prize finally claimed the huge prize. Mai Xiong of Milwaukee turned in the ticket at Wisconsin’s state lottery headquarters on Friday. The $156,000,000 grand prize is the second largest in Wisconsin history. Xiong took the cash option, which was worth $93,000,000.
