Latest COVID-19 Victim – Halloween

Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - As is becoming the norm in this Year of the Covid, the annual ritual of trick-or-treating on Halloween was a whole lot different Saturday than in past years.

Health officials had cautioned against “in-person” trick-or-treating this year and the message was apparently heard in Rochester.

Many residents opted not to hand out candy due to Covid concerns - and many parents decided to keep their kids home. A number of neighborhoods held small “trick-or-treating clusters” of nearby homes. There were also some organized drive-through events in Rochester.

Some homeowners placed treats on outside tables.

Several also went “high tech” with tube-like devices that not only delivered candy from a distance but caught the attention of neighbors.
