Jacquolyn “Jackie” Ann Braulik, 88, of Owatonna, died Monday, April 15, 2024 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.

She was born April 26, 1935 in New Richland, Minnesota the daughter of Floyd and Gertrude (Bethke) Haushahn. She grew up in New Richland where she graduated from high school in 1953.  Following her schooling, she worked at Federated Insurance in Owatonna.

She was united in marriage to Jack Braulik on June 2, 1956 at the Congregational Church in New Richland.  The couple made their home on a farmstead south of Owatonna where they raised their family.

Along with being a wife and mother, Jackie worked as the bookkeeper for Richard Moore’s Shaklee Products in the mornings and worked in home healthcare in the afternoons and evenings providing a valuable service to many people allowing them to remain in their homesJackie enjoyed sewing in her younger years.  She made Halloween costumes for her children and grandchildren, and made doll clothes for the grandchildren. She also enjoyed making Easter baskets and loved to shop for clothes at her favorite store, The Dress Barn at the outlet mall in Medford.  She loved her animals and many people knew Jackie from her many walks with her pets throughout the neighborhood.

Jackie was a member of Associated Church for many years and attended as long as her health allowed.

She is survived by sons, Jim (and Lucy) Braulik of Mason City, IA and Todd (and Sallie Newbowers Braulik) Braulik of Owatonna; grandchildren, James (and Katie) Braulik, Sarah Braulik, Jeffrey (and Stephanie) Braulik, Charity Braulik, Misty Obernolte, Candy Braulik, Jacob Newbowers Bartel and Alec Newbowers; 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Gertrude; husband, Jack Braulik and sisters, Arlene Kroeger and Bobbie Smith.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Michaelson Funeral Home in Owatonna with visitation one hour prior.  A lunch reception will immediately follow the service and then burial in St. Peter Cemetery in New Richland.

Memorials are preferred to the Humane Society.
