My Only Complaint About Morgan Wallen’s Minneapolis Show
I’ve been seeing a ton of negative reviews about the Morgan Wallen concert… and honestly? I don’t get it!
Two sold-out shows. A sea of fans. And quite possibly the most denim I’ve ever seen in one place.
If you missed it, here’s my honest review… plus, my one and only complaint.
The lineup alone was worth showing up early for. Vincent Mason kicked things off at 5:15, followed by Gavin Adcock, then Thomas Rhett before Morgan even hit the stage.
Also… quick note: who knew Gavin Adcock was known for taking his shirt off? Because I did not. At one point I text my husband a pic and told him I felt like I accidentally walked into a Bert Kreischer show.

No complaints there. Just… unexpected.
I will say, it felt like it took forever between sets. But I can’t tell if that’s because it actually did, or because I was so impatient to see Morgan that time just stopped working normally.
Either way, that’s not my complaint.
According to some of the reviews floating around, people thought Morgan didn’t bring the energy. I’m sorry… what?
I would genuinely love to see anyone saying that try to run across that massive stage, hit every note, and still make it look effortless for even five minutes. The guy was everywhere. Front stage, side stage, back stage… making sure every single section felt included.
He was snapping photos, tossing guitar picks, pointing fans out in the crowd, flashing that grin… it felt personal, even in a stadium packed with thousands of people.
And the production? Unreal.
Everyone had those light-up wristbands synced to the music, and when the sun went down, the whole place lit up. Add in the fire, the fireworks…it was loud. It was chaotic. It was really, really cool.
If you’re a real Morgan Wallen fan, there’s NO way you walked out of there disappointed. My voice still hurts from singing along to every single song!
But there was one moment that stopped me in my tracks… and it had absolutely nothing to do with the music.
But before we get there… can we take a second to appreciate that Morgan Wallen had not one, but TWO Minnesota legends walk him to the stage? One night it was Jared Allen. The next night, Joe Mauer.
My Biggest Complaint About Morgan Wallen's Concert in Minneapolis:
The drinks.
Listen… I get it. Concert prices are never cheap. We all expect that. But this? This felt aggressive.
I ordered a can of wine - lower alcohol and maybe 10 to 12 ounces max. My friend grabbed a vodka cranberry. Not top shelf, nothing fancy.
Thirty. Eight. Dollars.
For two drinks.
I actually had to look at the receipt for a second like… wait, is this real life?
And I’m… let’s call it an "established" woman. I can handle a splurge now and then. But looking around at the crowd - so many younger fans - I genuinely don’t know how anyone was going back for round two.
So yes, incredible show. Zero regrets. Would absolutely go again. I’ll just… emotionally prepare for the drink prices next time.
