Dave’s Hot Chicken Plans To Open 18 Locations In Minnesota

Dave's Hot Chicken, a west-coast chain founded in Los Angeles, specializes in fiery chicken and has over 100 locations in four countries. Their menu is simple with options like tenders, tenders on a bun, or sliders. You can also get sides like fries, mac and cheese, and kale slaw.

Kris Humphries calls it the “best chicken ever” and he would know. The Minnesota native famous for a 10-year NBA career and a 10-minute marriage to Kim Kardashian is responsible for bringing the chain to Minnesota.

The Humphries family owns several 5 Guys fast food restaurants in Minnesota and Wisconsin and now they're in the spicy chicken business. Kris opened the first Dave’s Hot Chicken in Minnetonka and a second location in St. Paul back in March.

The Takeout says it's popular because "The chicken is juicy, the seasoning doesn't pull back on flavor, and the sides complement the poultry without overshadowing it."

Where Is Dave's Hot Chicken Opening in Minnesota?

Dave's Hot Chicken is now open in Minnetonka at 1805 Plymouth Rd. Suite #104 and in St. Paul at 1959 Ford Parkway with two more locations coming this year and several others in the future.

An Apple Valley restaurant is scheduled for a mid to late June opening, with a Coon Rapids location to follow sometime in late summer.

I was told the Humphries family aims to open 3-4 new locations every year, with the goal of reaching a total of 18 restaurants across Minnesota.

These establishments won't just be in the Twin Cities region; they're planning to expand to cities like Rochester and St. Cloud as well.
