Urgent Need For Water, Gloves, and Underwear in Rochester, MN

As Southeast Minnesota gets ready to hunker down and attempt to stay warm this weekend, one organization in Rochester, Minnesota has an urgent request for help.

Townsquare Media cares about our community and we have many nonprofits in our area.  When we hear that there is an urgent need, we turn on our microphones, share it on social media, and do what we can to help spread the works.  Gift of Life Transplant House, Dorothy Day, Mayo Clinic Blood Donor Program, The Salvation Army, Paws and Claws, and so many more organizations have had help filling up shelves and supplies.

Thank you for helping our community!  Today, that compassion and generosity is needed once again.

Urgent Need For Water, Gloves, and Underwear in Rochester, Minnesota

When our shelves at home get low on supplies or we see that our kids lost one of their gloves...again...we hop on Amazon or run to Walmart and grab another pair so their fingers stay warm.

It's not your kids but there is an organization in Rochester, Minnesota that serves the roughly 400 different individuals experiencing homelessness in our community.  And right now, they have an urgent need for help.

The Landing MN, located at 426 3rd Ave. SE in Rochester, has three items that at critical levels:

• bottled water
• gloves (men's or unisex, waterproof and thinsulate, size L)
• boxer briefs (new, non-white colors, size L and XL)

How To Donate Items to Help Those Experiencing Homelessness in Rochester, Minnesota

There are a few ways to help and one can be done in a few clicks.

• Option 1:  drop off donations at The Landing MN Day Center (426 3rd Ave SE) any day of the week from 8am-7pm.
• Option 2:  Amazon!  The Landing MN has a wishlist.  Find the items you'd like to purchase and it will be shipped directly to the organization.  Find that wishlist here.
