This Circus-Themed Rochester Event Supports Local Families
The big top is coming back to Rochester!
If you're looking for a unique night out that includes incredible food, live entertainment, and fun, SPARK's Play It Forward 21+ fundraiser needs to be added to your calendar. I go to a ton of events every year and this one, by far, is one of my favorites. (In other words...hurry up and grab your spot so you can go too.).
Bonus: this fundraiser is helping with the SPARK Play For All program...which I'll explain a bit more about it below.

What Is SPARK's Play For All Program?
I love it when organizations find a way for everyone to participate, and that is exactly what the Play For All program is at SPARK Children's Museum.
The Play For All program helps remove financial barriers to SPARK Children's Museum by providing free and reduced admission for families. This program also helps fund inclusive programming, provides supplies, and hands-on experiences for kids in the southeast Minnesota area.
Since it opened, SPARK has seen a dramatic need for the Play For All program and has helped thousands of local families experience the joy of learning through play.
When Is The SPARK Play It Forward Event In 2026?
Save the date for Thursday, August 6th, 2026 and plan on an amazing night of fun as you help kids and families in our area. Pull up to the big tent in the parking lot - the event starts at 5:30 pm.
Where Is The SPARK Play It Forward Event?
You'll know you arrived when you spot the giant tent on the south side of the Apache Mall at 1201 12th Street SW in Rochester.
What Should You Wear?
The event's dress code is cocktail casual, and attendees are encouraged to embrace the circus theme by wearing black, red, or white.
What To Expect At Play It Forward
- Fun!
- Complimentary food from Smoak, Heimstead, Taco Lab, and Flapdoodles
- When you play games, you've got a chance to win prizes from local businesses.
- Raffle tickets will be available for purchase at $10 a ticket and a few of the prizes featured this year include Vikings tickets!
- Golden ticket prizes are back and prizes include:
- tickets to watch the Gophers Football team
- overnight stays at Treasure Island
- boat tours
- tickets to the Minnesota Zoo
- Kendra Scott jewelry
- ...and more
