Yes, this is the place where you could shop all day and still not make it to every single floor. And your feet will probably feel the pain a bit too. Cheapism.com was on the hunt recently to find the best main street shopping in all of the United States. To be fair to all of the people in America, a winning town was picked in every state. Some of those lucky winners are towns with about 90,000 but others have less than 1,000 residents.
In Minnesota, the one and only Stillwater was picked as the favorite. Here are a few of the reasons why it is the Land of 10,000 Lakes' #1 pick:
- Scene you get to watch on the water - old-fashioned paddlewheel riverboats and gondolas
- Several bed and breakfasts
- Very close to larger cities (aka Twin Cities)
